About Me
Natalie is an award-winning journalist that excels at storytelling using audio, video and words.
She grew up in sunny California, graduated from Columbia University and developed a flourishing media career in Taiwan. She was a radio and video program host and producer at Taiwan's national broadcaster RTI where she won multiple top national and global awards, a TV anchor at the Public Television Service, and a regular contributing writer for TIME magazine.​

She is now a Senior Multimedia Strategist at UC Irvine's Samueli School of Engineering where she highlights fascinating people, research and projects through the podcast The Lab Beat and other media campaigns. Natalie is an outstanding strategist, writer, and producer. Her videos and carousels have received 5 million views and her remarkable storytelling is elevating the reputation of the vibrant school.

Natalie speaks fluent English and Mandarin Chinese. She is a Christian and published two books in Taiwan: Free To Be You: A Woman's Guide to Dreams, Love and Self-discovery and Free To Love. Natalie is married to Jeff and has two sons. In her free time, she writes about insights into the mind at her blog A Better Light and enjoys the coast with her family and friends.
