About Me
Natalie is an award-winning journalist that excels at storytelling using audio, video and words.
She grew up in sunny California, graduated from Columbia University and developed a flourishing media career in Taiwan. She was a radio and video program host and producer at Taiwan's national broadcaster RTI where she won multiple top national and global awards, a TV anchor at the Public Television Service, and a regular contributing writer for TIME magazine.
She is now a Senior Multimedia Strategist at UC Irvine's Samueli School of Engineering where she highlights fascinating people, research and projects through the award-winning podcast The Lab Beat and other media campaigns. Natalie is an outstanding strategist, writer, and producer. Her videos and carousels have received 5 million views and her remarkable storytelling is elevating the reputation of the vibrant school.
Natalie speaks fluent English and Mandarin Chinese. She has published two books in Taiwan: Free To Be You: A Woman's Guide to Dreams, Love and Self-discovery and Free To Love. Natalie is married to Jeff and has two sons. In her free time, she writes about insights into the mind at her blog A Better Light and enjoys the coast with her family and friends.
